Dhanyavaad Owais and Ariela for the lessons :) I am having fun reading them :) Oh and by the way, happy to see your photo Owais - the only problem on Zaadz is - that it's a cyber world - I would really prefer this language class in India :-) with all of us sitting around a tree may be….I used to study Arabic and would love to learn more about Sanskrit as well…
All are in one sense synonymous hough, subtle differences exist. All are from the dhatu+root, “nam” meaning “to sublimate”.
Pranaam = the internal quality of sublimation.
Namaskaar = The external act of shunning ego, by prostration (dandavat).
Namaste = Sublimation of ego by expression to another person (realising the presence of Divinity in that person too). here duality remains. Hope you understood now meaning of Indian greetings.
Dhanyavaad Annajee - you are most welcome my friend in this class. Wow ! it is all fun and refreshing when we sit under tree enjoying cool winds, tranquility of nature, exquisiteness of scenic villages and so essence of teaching in such environment - exactly my friend anna this is traditional way of schooling in India which is rare to see and that too in far - flung remote areas. I am so glad you loved this method - anyway you visit India, I will get arrange village scenic classes under tree and so is everybody invited to join us to learn sanskrit, arabic and indian cultures in this supreme traditional way.
Thanyavaad Arielajee n Annajee - we attribute jee after name to show respect him/her.
~Namaste Szavannajee, my classmate in this Sanskrit lesson =)

Ancient times? Not necessarily - hm here in Africa - a lot of things are still happening under trees. And then….trees are always around - …and what better than to study in the shade of the trees - just by sitting there one learns so much more then I learned in the classrooms back in Hungary ….. hm ….what do you think Arielajee?
hahaa =) I meant “Learning as they did SINCE ancient times” =)
Using Real World lessons…Real Time observations…Collectively experiencing Earth and Nature and Being (and all that Good stuff)…Learning together how it all applies to our own Personal Being in All that Is…and how we can be in Harmony. ;-)
It is wonderful that where you are there is Teaching under the trees…the best classroom of them all…Sometimes that happens here in NY, just not as frequently as it could be. hmmm…it should be required here that on nice days, class be held outdoors =) Ahhh, this is cyberspace…I can dream, lol!
