What are you drawn to in others?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 16, 2008:
the one who respect every customs, rituals and cultures and do embrace & believe into it. the one who believes into true love, friendship and demilitarisation.
the one who says We are One, the one who is sober and moderate,
the one who just never criticises anyone, the one who thinks for poors and generously donate in their names.
the one who thinks for equality and believe everyone is equal, like someone who just talks with everyone either he/she is illiterate or poor or diseased or black/white or just any living beings from planet in any form. i.e animals that he/she is against their ill treatment or slaughtering like such. I highly admire and fascinate such persons and to my observation I have found one in this community,
the one who respect nature & woman, the one who believe in oneness,

These are all wonderful qualities to which one can aspire. For me it is about erasing the boundaries that are self created in the mind, the lines of duality that give the illusion of separation. Thanks, my friend.

Thank you Owais and Satya-Seer for sharing your thoughts. I agree, what I look for in a person is an open-mind and a big heart, and a passion and devotion to equality and justice. I already consider myself a social justice activist, and am on my way to achieving many of the traits Owais has mentioned. And I too believe that the boudaries we automatically create cause much for harm than good, and must be erased. When that is done, peace is a possibility.
