a poem of summer by OWAIS
owais
stubby, podgy Mango trees standing
supple branches lurching, lavishly laden with fruits
frisky cukoos leaping abruptly, swinging and twitching promptly
echoeing their euphonies and murmuring.
I sprawl leisurely under a tree
soothing myself from scorching heats of June
gust of dry winds sweeping away dry fallen leaves
bracing thoroughly due of sieve by florid trees.
I glance around inquisitively
fertile but void, hardly daubed with grasses
eyes dazzle by glaring sun
glossy sturdy, rocky hunks glinting
still few a notorious boys, breaking quietude by rumble talks
striving with harshy noon to taste mangoes
I recline deeply on few greens in quietude
paucity of grasses retain due of cows
rippling and rustling sound whispering me
amusing me, putting smile and making me to muse
those creepy tales of apparitions
emerges during hot noon, at such grim and far places
quivering, shuddering and crouching me at once
ruffling and collecting me nimbly to dart away hastily.

wow lisajee, mangoes are my favourite. but in usa summers like sultry, stiffling n scorching do not happen to be. so is our hot, sultry n scorching heats during may & june.

you know you all people's encouragements n acknowledgement really making me to be a poet, I first wrote my poem in life was street kids past two months ago and so until now wrote around six poems. I am very much thankful for you all people's support and loves, thank you very much.

wow you love mangoes, lol me also mine favourite. you know during summer ( mangoes' season ) I just gulp as many as my stomach could afford, and I am just a glutton of this fruit. hey thank you for adding charm by introducing your lovely music on mango.
