Taj mahal - one of seven wonder of modern world
" The Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz, built the Taj Mahal. It was built in 22 years (1631 to 1653) by 20,000 artisans brought to India from all over the world . Many people believe Ustad Isa of Iran designed it." This is what your guide probably told you if you ever visited the Taj Mahal. This is the same story I read in my history book as a student.
NOW READ THIS.......
No one has ever challenged it except Prof. P. N. Oak, who believes the whole world has been duped. In his book Taj Mahal: The True Story, Oak says the Taj Mahal is not Queen Mumtaz's tomb but an ancient Hindu temple palace of Lord Shiva (then known as Tejo Mahalaya). In the course of his research Oak discovered that the Shiva temple palace was usurped by Shah Jahan from then Maharaja of Jaipur, Jai Singh.
In his own court chronicle, Badshahnama, Shah Jahan admits that an exceptionally beautiful grand mansion in Agra was taken from Jai SIngh for Mumtaz's burial. Theex-Maharaja of Jaipur still retains in his secret collection two orders from ShahJahan for surrendering the Taj building. Using captured temples and mansions, as a burial place for dead courtiers and royalty was a common practice among Muslim rulers. For example, Humayun, Akbar, Etmud-ud-Daula and Safdarjung are allburied in such mansions. Oak's inquiries began with the name of Taj-Mahal. He says the term "Mahal" has never been used for a building in any Muslim countries from Afghanisthan to Algeria.
"The unusual explanation thatthe term Taj Mahal derives from Mumtaz Mahal was illogical in atleast respects. Firstly, her name was never Mumtaz Mahal but Mumtaz-ul-Zamani," hewrites. Secondly, one cannot omit the first three letters 'Mum' from a woman's name to derive the remainder as the name for thebuilding." TajMahal, he claims, is a corrupt version of Tejo Mahalaya, or Lord Shiva'sPalace. Oak also says the love story of Mumtaz and Shah Jahan is a fairy tale created by court sycophants, blundering historians and sloppyarchaeologists. Not a single royal chronicle of Shah Jahan's time corroborates the lovestory. Furthermore, Oak cites several documents suggesting the Taj-Mahal predates Shah Jahan's era, and was a temple dedicated to Shiva,worshipped by Rajputs of Agra city. For example, Prof. Marvin Millerof New-York took a few samples from the riverside doorway of the Taj. Carbon dating tests revealed that the door was 300 years older than Shah Jahan. European traveler Johan Albert Mandelslo,who visited Agra in 1638 (only sevenyearsafter Mumtaz's death), describes the life of the city in his memoirs. But he makes no reference to the Taj Mahal being built. The writings ofPeter Mundy,an English visitor to Agra within a year of Mumtaz's death, also suggest the Taj was a noteworthy building well before Shah Jahan's time. Prof. Oak points out a number of design and architecturalinconsistencies that support the belief of the Taj Mahal being a typical Hindu temple rather than a mausoleum. Many rooms in the Taj !Mahal have remained sealed since Shah Jahan's time and are still inaccessible to thepublic. Oak asserts they contain a headless statue of Lord Shiva and other objects commonly used for worship rituals in Hindu temples.
Here is a close up of the upper portion of the pinnacle of the Taj Mahal, photographed from the parapet beneath the dome. The Hindu horizontal crescent and the coconut top together look like a trident from the garden level. Islamic crescents are always oblique. Moreover they are almost always complete circles leaving a little opening for a star. This Hindu pinnacle had all these centuries been misinterpreted as an Islamic crescent and star or a lightning conductor installed by the British. The word "Allah" etched here by Shahjahan is absent in the courtyard replica. The coconut, the bent mango leaves under it and the supporting Kalash (water pot) are exclusive Hindu motifs.
Fearing political backlash,Indira Gandhi's government tried to have Prof. Oak's book withdrawnfrom the bookstores, and threatened the Indian publisher of the first edition dire consequences. There is only one way to discredit or validate Oak's research.The current government should open the sealed rooms of the Taj Mahal under U.N. supervision, and let international experts investigate. Do circulate this to all you know and let them know about this reality.....This link ........it adds as a visual proof to what is described above.

what do you think owais? which is true? why do YOU think so?
I have seen Tajmahal 7 years ago, heard from teachers, read in text books that Tajmahal was built by Mogul ruler Shahjahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaj, in 1631-1653 a.d ,
Isa Khan , the archietect and designer of this grand splendid building, his wands were chopped off on the order of Shahjahan in order to avoid other constructions by him. Tajmahal is the light of love, gift of love, a dying love of shahjahan for her beloved Mumtaj.
See it can be and it can be not, it can be because ;
Rajputs, the furious warrior of medieval period, ruling north-western parts of India like Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh. Babur the first Mogul ruler of India who annexed India in 1526 a.d, defeating Rana sangha ( rajput ruler of India ) and ruled India since the annexation of India by British rule in 1762 a.d.
Rajputs who beleived to predecessor of Aryans who migrated into India through Himalayas around 5000 years ago. rajputs being muslims and Mughals ( persians ) being Muslims have different architecture, by glancing at carvings of Tajmahal it shows persians gravings. but one cannot say what is truth, unless it is proved.
I think truth is that Tajmahal was built Shah-jahan because the deep carved arabic verses on White marbles, the designs and the contours, dome-shaped and Islamic arched corriders reflects archietecture of Persia. Other monuments built by Mogul like Red fort, Akbar's Tomb, Kutab minar, Jama masjid have similarities with stone works done in Tajmahal.
Tajmahal is located at the City Agra in the state of Uttar pradesh, it is 200 kms away from my city Kanpur. i do not think so but above blog is just what i read an article in newspaper. i am not sure what is truth but what i know through my horizon i wrote it down.
Thank you for sharing your own opinions too. I am home from work now and it is 9 o'clock in the morning here almost and I am finally going to bed. have a great day owais. and my husband says so too. he just left to go to his work now.
